The right question sets the direction.

For me, online marketing consulting starts with the decision you want to make. Your website may need a clearer search strategy. Your team may want to use AI. Or you may be discussing campaigns while the underlying data still leaves questions open.

I connect these topics with experience from SaaS and consulting projects. The following areas help you place your question in context. You don't need to be able to distinguish all the terms precisely yet. What matters is the task your business is facing and where you're looking for support.

When several topics come together, we examine their dependencies. That helps identify the next priority.

Online Marketing

Online marketing connects business goals with the marketing work that makes sense for them. This includes positioning your offer and making a reasoned choice of channels.

I want to understand how customers discover your offer and make their decisions. Which questions should content answer? What information does sales need? Which initiatives can your team implement? A direction becomes useful when these questions come together in planning.

02

SEO and GEO

SEO and GEO examine different forms of search visibility. SEO concerns discoverability in search engines. GEO adds the question of how your business and its content appear in generative answers.

My SEO practice includes hotel projects in German and English, and SEO and content marketing for LIKE MAGIC. In GEO, I work with citability and mentions: how suitable content is as a source, and how a brand is mentioned.

These lead to different review tasks for your business. Perhaps your website lacks important information. Perhaps it's unclear which questions already lead to mentions of your business. A shared foundation starts with precisely identifying the starting point and goal.

For an introduction to the terminology, read the comparison of SEO, GEO and AEO.

Artificial Intelligence

I'm interested in artificial intelligence as part of how a business works. My experience includes AI Brain, leadership and change management, and introducing workflows and agents.

A useful starting point defines a task and the information it needs. Questions about reviewing results and responsibility within the team follow. A tool can support these decisions. People must determine the specialist direction and approve important results.

In the guide Introducing AI into marketing, I describe an approach to moving from an initial experiment to a shared way of working.

Performance Marketing

Performance marketing connects campaigns with understandable goals and usable data. My background includes Meta Ads, Google Ads and tracking through my work in hospitality.

Before a budget decision, I want to know which events are measured and what a result means for the business. A campaign can generate many contacts. Whether those contacts fit the offer and reach the next stage of work is a separate question.

From a question to a priority

A priority follows from the goal and starting point. I therefore first want to understand which decision is needed, what information is available and where implementation is stuck.

Sometimes the work starts with the website. Sometimes the team first needs a shared tracking plan or a clearly bounded AI experiment. We can justify that sequence based on your situation.

The industry pages show how I apply my experience in different markets. For your own task, take the next step through contact and an initial consultation.

To get started, your task in your own words is enough. An existing link or a short description of your offer can help. We can then clarify what knowledge is already available and which part of my experience is relevant to the conversation.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions about my expertise

10 questions on this topic.

Which area of expertise fits my question?

The right expertise depends on your task. Search visibility points to SEO or GEO; campaigns and measurement point to performance marketing. AI and agentic search also concern new workflows. If the category isn't clear yet, describe the decision you want to make. We can identify a starting point together.

What distinguishes GEO from agentic search?

GEO focuses on representation in generative answers, such as mentions and source references. Within my focus, agentic search also covers search and marketing processes involving agents. The topics overlap in research and source quality. The detail pages explain my perspective without assuming a single industry-wide definition.

Is this about strategy or implementation too?

My background includes strategy and operational marketing work. Useful support depends on your starting point and existing responsibilities. In a conversation, we can clarify whether the first need is preparing a decision or supporting specific implementation. This does not imply a fixed service package.

How do we prioritise several topics?

We can prioritise topics through their dependencies. We examine the business goal, open decisions and existing foundations. Where data is missing, tracking may come first; where positioning is unclear, clarifying the offer may take priority. The sequence should be a reasoned decision, regularly reviewed against actual developments.

When should SEO or performance marketing take priority?

SEO and performance marketing can both be useful. The focus depends on the offer, search questions and current need for campaigns. Before allocating budget, assess your landing pages and measurement. My expertise pages explain the respective questions; a specific recommendation requires a view of your business.

Which questions belong to AI implementation?

AI implementation involves the use case, required business knowledge and teamwork. Access rights and approval of results also need clarification. My experience includes AI Brain, leadership and change management. The AI guide describes an approach to a limited starting point.

How do online marketing strategy and channel planning differ?

An online marketing strategy describes the goals and customers at the centre of your work and how marketing should contribute. Channel planning translates that direction into work at specific touchpoints. For me, channel selection should follow from a task. A channel alone does not explain a strategy.

Where do SEO, GEO and content overlap?

SEO, GEO and content overlap in the information a business presents clearly. Content should answer relevant questions and make statements verifiable. SEO considers discoverability in search engines; GEO considers representation in generative answers. Good content can matter to both without guaranteeing visibility.

Why is tracking one of your specialist topics?

Tracking is a specialist topic because marketing decisions need understandable data. I work on which events are captured and how they appear in reports. My experience includes tracking tasks for the Weitzer Group and Das Sonnreich. A specific scope follows from your question.

Where can I see how your expertise applies to my industry?

You'll find applications of my expertise under Industries. The pages describe SaaS, hospitality and tourism, and e-commerce. Coaching and consulting are explained through my mentoring perspective, and food and BBQ through my own projects. For references, I identify my specific contribution.
